The story behind the object
In Naples, the cornicello is a symbol of protection and good fortune. Traditionally red, curved and pointed, it has been passed down through generations as an object meant to ward off the malocchio.
Usually present in small ceramic pieces, Il Corno reinterprets this familiar symbol at a sculptural scale. Made by hand in papier-mâché, it keeps its recognisable silhouette and gains a new presence in space.
Il corno è il più diffuso portafortuna a Napoli.
Secondo la tradizione deve essere rosso e fatto a mano
per allontanare malocchi e jettature dalla persona che lo custodisce.

02 — Object
Stools
Between sea and land.
A collection that brings together two recurring elements in Paula’s work: the sea and the land. Its lines evoke the movement of waves, while the combination of materials and geometries sets up a dialogue between movement and stability.
Conceived as functional objects with a sculptural presence, the stools explore the encounter between form, matter and space.
